Not treu, if I recall. A 2.2.x ROM will boot a 2.4 kernel, provided the 2.2
ROM is current enough.

2.3.x is GEN_III hardware (RaQ 3, RaQ 4, Qube 3)
2.8.x is RaQ XTR
2.9.x is universal
2.10.x is universal
All systems use the paged ROM, except RaQ550 which uses the -flat
