[cobalt-developers] redhat 9 on a raq3

ive gotten redhat 9 installed on a raq3 but with a few glitches.  i
installed the 2.4.19 kernel i found at
ftp://ftp-eng.cobalt.com/pub/users/thockin/2.4/gen_III

when the machine boots up, the kernel version shows up as 2.2.16 so
apparently im still booting the kernel thats stored in rom.

[chadwick@mirror chadwick]$ uname -v
#4 (ROM kernel) Mon Jun 18 22:49:24 PDT 2001

[chadwick@mirror chadwick]$ uname -r
2.2.16C28

how do i get it to boot the kernel in /boot which is vmlinux-2.4.19C7_III.gz

beyond that, everything else went as expected.   i used the howto at
http://www.gurulabs.com/rhl-cobalt-howto/redhat.qube3.howto.2.html to do
this.
