Subject: [cobalt-developers] Users question
Good day,
In case I want to give users access (terminal/ftp access) to my RAQ4,
then
it is possible they can access other websites on the server.
Has anybody an idea how to avoid this?
Regards,
Mike
[JMG Enterprises] Mike,
[JMG Enterprises] Telnet access will give users viewing access to the
whole server. Many of us do not allow Telnet or SSH for shared servers.
We do allow Dedicated Servers the SSH access.
[JMG Enterprises] As for FTP, I do believe that there was a patch to fix
access from others on a shared network. Does your Raq4 have all the
updates? See
http://sunsolve.sun.com/pub-cgi/show.pl?target=cobalt/raq4.eng&nav=patch
page

Be sure to update from the bottom as the instructions say to do. Hope
this helps.
