Re: [cobalt-developers] Sun is stopping Cobalt?

We have been working on this for about a year now though it seems like it has been longer. we dont have a demo site up yet or any images. i will get some up by next week as i am waiting for some artwork to show up from a photoshop guru :) i will give you a hint and some of you might grumble at this but...

Yes we used Webmin as a base. but it will work nothing like any version of webmin you have ever
seen. Just to be fair we left in support for 3rd party webmin modules but you will have to tweek a few things to get them to work. This will be a compleate fork of webmin and not just a theme change as so many people have done in the past. Also if you want to take any of the source from what we do and improve it go ahead! its mostly perl so you can! but be nice and send us your changes so we can pass the improvments on to every body else.

The custom modules we care to protect will be binary only. We will also port a few GPL 3rd party modules over to the new Amoeba Webmin becuse they are useful in themselves and to act as examples for how to make changes to other 3rd party modules to get them to work.

Geez I probaly told you too much already :)
