Yes, Sun is getting Rid of the Raq550. Order before November 1, 2003.
Another bad mistake from SUN - I had such high hopes. It was also reported
in Eweek in one October 2003 that SUN is moving to JAVA oriented servers and
they were quoted as saying that Linux is not a place for servers. I am
paraphrasing but that was the message.
If SUN made a real effort on the cobalt line, I think that it would be very
profitable for them. They are basically very good machines (hardware) but
they could spend more time on the interface and operating system.
Just my thoughts - about 2 cents worth.
