Onderwerp: [cobalt-developers] 550 software on generic hardware
Hello,
I just wanted to let people know that I was able to load the 550 OS on
generic hardware. It took me like 4 days of work, but it was not that
difficult at the end. I have not done a FAQ yet, and I will be out of the
country until Tuesday of next week but will do one soon after I return.
And for those who don't believe me, ask Gerald W., he was able to login
using the management interface and test it. There are a few issues with the
main console and some generic errors but everything works so far. It does
not support multiple sessions so pressing ALT-F1, etc does not work, but I
am sure someone knows how to enable it and I also get errors like:
open("/dev/nvram/"): device or resource busy, but it all works....
I was also able to install packages, etc, etc..
Keep it sharing..
-pa
