like I said there is no 'standard'
I used to use pop and smtp, but it got to be too much of a bother.
I use domain.tld, so I only need 3 records in named
an 'a' record for domain.tld
an 'a' record for www.domain.tld
an 'mx' record pointing to domain.tld
