The logical step would be to have it run on generic RedHat Linux first,
before considering a port to Debian (like Qbalt) or BSD (like Mac OS X) ?

Webmin runs on everything and his toaster, so that *is* rather different.
The Cobalts are pretty tied in to the underlying RedHat "operating system".


But it does make you wonder why Sun didn't make of an effort to port it
to "Sun Linux 5.0" or their new distribution of choice: Red Hat 7.3 ?
