I to only have one, and at the moment can't afford to experiment with
it. I have not attempted to upgrade the kernel ever since Jan had major
problems with one a while back.

However knowing that in two months the XTR will be EOL, I would not
expect any further updates to be released.

So in the next month or so I will take my XTR down, and attempt to
upgrade it to a 2.4 kernel.

Basically it's the ROM issue I am a little afraid of. Although once I
get beyond that I will install the latest version of RH.

That way hopefully I can start to maintain things myself. Since Sun
won't be doing it anymore.

I imagine anyone owning a XTR and other Cobalts will have to pool our
resources from now on, as we are going to be on our own.
