wuell looks too that i have to buy a new networkcard who
is supported by the os disk

the raq 4 i found one who i can by, the 3com pcmcia
My idee is when you have to buy a new one, buy it for your laptop so
you can do a restore on the stop and not have to take the server home

well didnt do a restore on a 550, but there are to new ones  on the way,
and i will try it one one to be shure that i know how in the future

just didn't find one option of the perfect way to do backups but who knows
in the future.

This topic is a little vague to me:

What steps are involved in a OS restore on a RaQ550? incase in the future I
am called upon to do it ;)

Im sure its somewhere on the net or in manuals, but Id rather get the nitty
gritty from those that have done, or are doing it.
