When I searched for just "temporary drop name", I found some patch
code. Comments in it lead me to believe this error is thrown when a
temp file to write the mail into cannot be created. I'd check
permissions and ownership on /home/spool/mail and the actual mail
spool for the username in question.
Just my $0.02 though, as IANACH (I Am Not A C Hacker) :)
