Yeah, the original problem (low memory during log processing) isn't 
serious enough IMO to warrant heavy-duty changes to fundamental 
operating pieces of the OS.

If there were constant memory issues and migration of some domains to 
another server just was not an option, then I'd consider tinkering. 
Best to exhaust all 'normal' processes and solutions first.
