I just added additional bash lines to his RAQBAQ application that will mk a
mnt dir, mount a INTERNAL win2k share, copy the backup tar's umount the dir,
and rm -rf it. works good, now just gotta make that script run every
night..
i got one error the second time i ran it thou..
rm: unrecognized option `--after-date' <<-- huh??
Try `rm --help' for more information.

Yep. Save the anti-stat container the drives are shipped in and pack them
in a padded pistol carry case. Also you can buy multiple removable HD trays
and just pack the tray in a carry case. I just needed something smart and
cheap!
One strategy with rsync to watch and have management define in the case of
the rolling backups:
Do you want rsync to delete removed files from the backup server if removed
from the original server, or do you want those deleted files to be
maintained on the backup? This is important! Some data may require both
methods, depending upon what it is.
Think about that carefully!
