[cobalt-developers] Raq4 Mail server connection issue

My Raq4 has sites and mail hosting on it.  For a year and a half connecting 
to the mail server for the individual domains was done rather quickly. It 
would connect in a second or two.

Lately, a few of the domains can take up to 30 seconds or longer trying to 
connect to the email server to send mail out.  The mail program simply says 
"Connecting to mail server"...

I've think I've eliminated a DNS issue by using the IP address as incoming 
and outgoing servers with the same problem occurring.

It seems to happen more with attached files being sent, which obviously 
takes longer to send but shouldn't to just connect. Again, this problem 
just started happening after over a year and a half.

Other clients have complained as well which pretty much eliminates local 
connection problems and web access to the sites during this problem remains 
very fast.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what this issue could be or where to start?
