They're available with Sun Linux 5.0 and the option running Solaris for x86
was also announced on the product page http://www.sun.com/servers/entry/lx50/
A fairly common complaint with the LX50 is that the same hardware is also
available from Dell at $1000 less (see article:
http://www.solarspeed.net/news/625.php). But the point is pretty much that
this box is mostly designed for people who buy all their large iron at Sun
and can incorporate it into their existing maintenance and support contracts.
So we're probably not the intended audience for this server.
