By any chance is there a win2k/.net server about the network? As we've got a mixed network and the windows machines do zone transfers all the time, which cause a lot of dns traffic to be flying around.
Also if you've set the Qube up to be a slave for a win2k/internal zone it may be a machine booting up, and if its got the 'register in dns' ticked for the network card it may be trying to set the zone file data on the Qube mistaking it for a win2k box.
