RE: [cobalt-developers] path to main index.html

Yeah, this is the number one support issue we have with our Raq 4's. Users
ignore the BIG warnings we give them in their welcome emails and still
publish tot eh directory they are thrown into which is their user dir. I
would also love a way to make any administrator account for a domain default
to the root of the doamin for publishing via FTP.

Subject: [cobalt-developers] path to main index.html

Hey everyone,

Just purchased a new Raq550 and have found the necessary remote path when
uploading files with an FTP program such as Dreamweaver has to be set to
/../../web in order for the index.html to be placed in the right spot to be
viewed when just calling up www.domainname.com.

Otherwise, it will go into the ~users directory.

On my Raq4's it was ../../web. Now there's an extra / needed. Not only is
this confusing to me, but my clients as well.

Is there a way to modify a config file for proftp to have it default to
this "root" domain directory instead of the users directory? I'd like to
adjust both the Raq4's and the new Raq550 if possible.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Tom
