[cobalt-developers] Httpd User- Copying files

Hi All,

I wish to copy file from a users dir to the home web using a php command...

Exec( "cp /home/sites/DOMAIN/users/USER/file.html /home/sites/DOMAIN/web/" );

However there is a permissions error as httpd user does not have correct access . 
Can I safely add httpd to a group to make this work or is that unsafe. 
Is there another way around this that is a fix that will work for any site rather than me having to make changes everytime a new site is created?
