I too am dealing with a full /var partition and would like to delete old
log files. I thought I could create a custom netboot disk to handle
this, but it was suggested that a .pkg would be easier.
I don't see follow up to the original posting. Is it possible to create
a .pkg file that will delete a specific file? Any help would be
appreciated.

Original posting:
Hi all, Due to /var partition being full I have the need to create a pkg
to delete old maillog.26.gz typefiles. Anyone have links on how to
create a pkg or better yet the scripting necessary to achieve this? I
have little programming experience and this will be my first pkg ever :)
