Did anyone ever figure out why the OSRCD images cannot handle disk larger
than 33.8 GB. Or is there na image that does handle larger drives.
It looked to me like the way the partition table is done.
Most partition tables use the balance of the drive vor the Extended
partition.
===== my RaQ4r partition table =====
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 1 4064 2048255+ fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/hda2 4065 4585 262584 5 Extended
/dev/hda3 4586 6617 1024128 fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/hda4 6618 38792 16216200 fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/hda5 4065 4125 30743+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda6 4126 4585 231839+ fd Linux raid autodetect
Note that the Extended partition hda2 starts at 4065 ends at 4585
Normally when you partition a drive the extended partition will contain
the remaining sectors for the drive.
/dev/hda2 4065 38792 nnnnnnnn 5 Extended
Someone once said it was the version of fdisk, but I don't think so
Thoughts?
