Thanks for your views,
For me personally I wish not to go out and yet again learn another
language and buy more development products just to suit my Sun product.
Amazing how very clear with the sales people I was when purchasing, I
want to run ASP and Interbase to handle small businesses e-com style
sites. It was all yes yes at the pre-sales time. Completely different
story after purchasing, and support well we all know how that goes with
Sun since they bought out Cobalt. Hate to whinge but I am finishing up
with real issues with Interbase, ChiliASP and Sun support.
Now I totally agree an MS Server is best to handle the ASP side of
things, wish I had the knowledge I do now, but at the time of
purchasing. I enjoy 80% of the RAQ's features but a GUI only appliance
it certainly is not, and damn well should have never been advertised
that way with regard to ASP and Interbase!
Enough of this because I will simply go around in circles, like the last
two months of development.
Yes I am now jaded about Sun products/support and will not be purchasing
them anymore ;)
