it's not really true that it conflicted with software raid on dual-drive
machines but you really can't run 2 conflicting software-raid
implementations at the same time, StaQware was implemented using
software-raid over a network device... Quite simple actually and
shouldn't be hard to reimplement on a RaQ550/XTR with single drives.

Except it will expand the possibillities of the Cobalt line outside of
EDGE-computing. :)
