I'm really not too sure what it entails...
I'm sure it couldn't be too far off from generating
an rpm.
It contains the binaries, and scripts to place them
where they need to be.
The complexity comes from having the script look for
dependancies, and other prerequisites...
Obviously you need to have a binary suitable to most
users needs, so that is an interesting thing to overcome
as most system configs are differnt.

BTW ... is making a PKG file dangerous / risky and is that why the guys at
pkg master have not created one as yet?
