I ended up going with MySQLFront. Very nice prog for anyone looking to
have a windows app that connects to a MySQL DB on the Cobalt. Just be
careful when you setup permissions. But I can verify that it works great
with a Cobalt 4i , MySQL from pkgmaster and WindowsXP.

Fro windows users, download MySQLFront:
http://www.mysqlfront.de
This is an app which runs on the client and connects to your MySQL
server. It is the best one I found so far ( and free ) and even runs
pretty well over a dial-up connection.
