Just a quick note... I believe you _can_ use a linux system with only
one ethernet port (including the RaQs that have only one ethernet port)
with both internet-routable (external) and non-internet-routable
(internal) addresses.
I won't get into the security issues involved; we're still looking at
those.
And we're not planning on using it as a firewall, we're creating a
backup system in private IP space, and some of our systems only have one
ethernet port.
