First of, thank you for the feedback.

I cd to the actual directory
[root bin]# ./catalina.sh start
bash: ./catalina.sh: No such file or directory

Now when I ls, I do see catalina.sh there.  I'm using tomcat-4.0.4.

I'm in the process of going through all my linux docs to see if I find
anything including posting on some linux lists.
