[cobalt-developers] Problems with the Cobalt GUI and Linux browsers

This is still bothering me a little

For some reason I cannot access my XTR's web interface properly on Linux
no matter what browser I use, with one exception Konqueror.

I have tried Galeon 1.2.0, Mozilla 0.9.9, Netscape 6.2.3, and Opera 5.

I am going to install Opera 6, but it's the demo version with the
annoying adds.

Each browser renders the gui a little different.

In opera I get the top frame and side menu frame with menu but when I
select an option on the side menu, the main frame does not refresh.

Now in Galeon, Mozilla, and Netscape the side frame never appears, just
the background color.

If it were not for Konqueror, I would be forced to access my XTR's gui
using a Windows machine. So far I have not seen any problems on windows
with either IE or Netscape. Everything is fine there.

I am ok with using Konqueror but it's pretty strange that the web
interface only works properly with it and not the other browsers?

Even weirder is in Opera if I change how my browser is identified I get
a different experience. Still not the whole thing, but some features can
be accessed, and others cannot.

With Opera, when I set it to identify as MSIE 5.0, I get the best
results, but not the entire web interface.

This is not really a complaint, it's more giving feedback to the Cobalt
guys as to how the web interface performs on some Linux browsers.

Each browser's settings have not been modified, so I doubt tweaking the
browser will make a difference, but I might?

Has anyone else experienced this funkiness? Is there a solution?
