Thanks for the suggestions guys, but I'm still not having any luck.
I can't connect to the Qube at all - I tried to connect using the serial
port, but I don't see anything - I did confirm that the CONSOLE ON was
set at powerup, and I read the manual for the terminal settings
required.
I tried choosing 'reset network' from the LCD Panel, then powered down
(I had to do this manually, as reset network didn't power down
automatically).
When I booted the Qube3, it prompts me to Auto Configure. If I chose
Yes - it hangs. If I choose No, it hangs... It won't let me do
anything - and I have to hit the power switch... :-(
At this point, I don't care about what's on the Qube3, I just need to
bring it back up - I'll do an OS Restore, whatever, I just don't know
how to do an OS Restore if I can't connect to the Qube3... I'm at a
loss.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks,
E

Have you tried to ping the machine to see if it can see and talk to the
network?
If you can ping, you may want to port scan to see if telnet and ftp are
up.
If you cannot ping then that will explain why everything else does not
work.
You could try the console suggestion, but I would assume at that point
you may be beyond a point that you can fix it yourself.
For the sake of time and speed I would recommend doing and OS restore
and then proceeding as you did before.
You may want to also install SSH from http://www.pkgmaster.com before
any other packages. That way as you upgrade the rest you can also log in
via a resource that will not be modified by the upgrades.
For example if the upgrade is upgrading telnet and it fails you can't
get it. If you had SSH then you could.
So install what ever in order to install SSH first, you may not need to
upgrade anything before installing SSH. Then once SSH is up and running,
then begin to update the rest in order.
