well, if I only found the srpm's for this very kernel..
(and then not being afraid to kick the box is another thing)
already tried my own from a 2.2.16 kernel, but modprobe tells me to go away:

        while this kernel is version 2.2.16C32_III+VPN

insmod will continue if kernel interface checksums match
