I have successfully installed the extensions on a Raq4. I'm certain I
could do it on a Raq3 as well. I'm equally certain that it will never
be done on a Raq2.
It was very time consuming and difficult, but I'd like to try to put
together a set of pkgs or RPM files.
If someone would be willing to subsidize the cost of the development I
would be able to put together an installable package.
I should note the following limitations with FP2002 extensions: No gui
integration, (however they have their own very easy to use GUI and the
command line tools are very easy to use as well), the frontpage
discussion board doesn't appear to work (It stinks anyway), and lastly,
a custom apache is put in place, which means future updates from cobalt
would need to be installed very carefully.
The reason I need someone to subsidize the cost is because if there's to
be any hope of creating rpms and pkg files, a clean server must be used.
I'll bet an OS restore would have to be performed several times. I do
not have a spare server to do this on. Therefore the cost of the
development is a spare Raq3 or Raq4. These can be purchased used on
e-bay, so if someone really wants this, that's all it would take.
My e-mail address is below at the bottom of this e-mail, so feel free to
contact me off list.
