[cobalt-developers] mysql jdbc error

Hi

I have installed the jdk pkg onto my cobalt raq3 but i can't seem to connect
to the database, it seem like that its picking up the driver but its
throwing the following error

Error: java.sql.SQLException: Cannot connect to MySQL server on
localhost:3306. Is there a MySQL server running on the machine/port you are
trying to connect to? (java.security.AccessControlException)

could it be something to do with permission?
