(funny?)

well, I hope someone from sun is listening/reading, because we got serious trouble with CMU (cobalt migration utility) and there is no contact (email) given in the whole doku or elsewhere related to CMU.

basic problem: users with a "." in their name never get migrated correctly (especially accessrights on the /var/spool/mail-files are wrong) and we even experience whole users not getting imported without further notice by CMU.

I guess we are not alone with this and guess what, o'coz our user-naming-schemes are based on "shortcut" + "." + "username" to make the whole thing more readable...

sidestep: everyone who relays on CMU to do backups of userdata (because we finally all realized standard backup doesn't enable you to restore userdata like userids, virtual-site-structures, passwords, etc.) might be doing their backups with flaws, when "day zero" comes and you would like to get online asap locking none of your users out...

thank you in advance
