I take it "but" should be "bought"? If the server was actually used at all
you can't be certain that there's not something missing, added or changed
that might cause you problems. I'd reinstall the OS from the restore CD,
then apply the PKGs to get it up to speed.

If/after the machine has been restored, begin with the oldest PKG you don't
have installed that isn't obsoleted by a newer PKG.
