Have you tried installing it? Have you installed the latest PKG files for
the RaQ 4? I have installed 3.23.49a on several RaQ4s running MySQL on live
sites with no problems. I've also installed 3.23.48 on the RaQ2 and RaQ3 as
well. Again, no problems. I suspect 3.23.49a would run fine on them as
well; I just haven't had the need to install MySQL on a RaQ1/2/3 since that
version was released. I've even installed the development version, 4.0.1 on
a RaQ4. No problems.

The RaQ4 is based on a modified version of Red Hat 6.2 so use caution if
installing an RPM for Red Hat 7.x. I think MySQL should install just fine
from source though. Possibly from RPM as well, but I don't know first-hand
because I like to install it from source to customize the configuration.
