Can anyone help on this one? I work for a small ISP and we give people free
webspace when they get a dial-up account with us. However there webspace
has always been www.bigwig.net/emailalias, but on moving over to our new
Raq 4 servers we have been having serious problems sorting this out. We
have had to revert to getting the server to create a symlink in the web
root, for each users email alias linking to their personal web folder.
This is now causing a problem when anyone needs to FTP into the site as it
takes ages to get the directory listing because of the 1000's of symlinks.
I have looked back through the archives and found out how to get to the
users web space by typing:
www.domain.com/user
instead of
www.domain.com/~user
However I now want to be able to go to their webspace by typing
www.domain.com/emailalias
Is this possible without creating a symlink in the web root to the users
personal webspace?
