Thank you for your reply.
I am using Cobalt RaQ 4 now .The php is a pre-installed version. I have download a new compiliable vervion from PHP.com and want to compile again. I need to configure like this :
./configure --with-apxs=/www/bin/apxs --enable-track-vars \
--with-oci8=/u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.6 \
--with-oracle=/u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.6"
Can I do it like this and if can ,where is apache's apxs's direction ?

You'll need PHP compiled with Oracle support. You didn't say which server
your using or whether it was a pre-installed PHP version, a 3rd party PKG or
an installation from RPM or source, but my guess is that your PHP is not
compiled with Oracle support.
If it is, the output of:
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
will show --with-oracle in the Configuration section. If not, you should
refer to the Oracle section of the PHP manual at php.net or provide more
detail on the Cobalt lists.
