It is true that anyone can place whatever domain name they want as the
sender/return address within their email client, but in this case, should a
user login to neomail using a different domain name, or by using a global
webmail solution of a particular domain name, just the action of changing
the signature would affect the sent from domain name. I admit this is an
unlikely scenario, but one which could maybe have a solution to avoid one
more of the pitfalls...

I cannot speak to your concern, because frankly I agree with you.

However, in the real world, anyone can send email with any return
address they want.  You can send me email from U.S. President Bush, for
example, and unless I take the time to read the headers, I might very
well think it was from President Bush.

So this is no more or less a security issue than any normal email
client.
