The OS Restore CD probably isn't recognizing the disk
configuration, and is defaulting to the ancient config.
It sounds like Tim will try to come up with something
elegant. I would use fdisk to grow the partition, and
resize2fs to tweak the file system. Needless to say,
this is a dangerous operation. Typo's can trash the
disk.
If you are swapping the hard drive, be sure to find a
disk with about the same power consumption as we ship.
