[cobalt-developers] Java question

This is the comment in some documentation:

This install requires that you already have a Java virtual machine 
installed. JRE1.2.2 or JRE1.1.8 with JFC/Swing is required

I have a Cobalt Raq3i, it is one of those vanilla boxes that I don't mess 
with very much, so lucky for me I don't know loads about it, mostly just 
what I really need to ... is the above included on a Raq3i, can I add it, 
expense, do I/don't I want to do this? If is for an instant messenger product.
