May I ask where you got that idea, David?
Here's a snippet from the whois record for cobaltnet.com:
<snip>
Registrant:
Cobalt Networks, Inc. (COBALTNET-DOM)
440 Clyde Ave. Building B
Mountain View, CA 94043
US
Domain Name: COBALTNET.COM
Administrative Contact:
DNS Administration (DA14932-OR) dnadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Cobalt Networks, Inc.

Fax- 650-930-2501
<snip>
In fact, cobaltnet.com was their first domain, before they spent the
money to buy cobalt.com.
How short our memories are.
And, oh... look at the username...

Cobalt.

This is probably true, though. Sun/Cobalt doesn't support stuff unless
its on their official distribution pages.
