[cobalt-developers] Accessing the console port

In case I can't connect via WEB to the XTR, I'd like to set up a direct
connection to the console port.  I find that unless the CobaltXTR sees pin
8 (DCD) high, it won't give me a login prompt to my connected terminal,
although it will output console messages from time to time.

Is there a way to permanently configure this port so it doesn't require
DCD, so that I can use a simple send/receive/ground cable to communicate
with the system?
