Do you know why the cobalt gets locked ?
Another question, can I use a Adaptec 2940 SCSI card + local tape. I have fitted a spare card, but don't know how to activate (do I need a new kernel ?)

Linix has a 2gig file size limit. Why do thay put 11 gig drives in a 
    qube2 if they can't be backed up?

I use rsync for backup of my Raq servers.  It does a very fast, file by
file mirroring over the network.  It can then be backed up using
commodity tape drives and software.

I have instructions on how to set up rsync on my website.  I believe
there is an Rsync client for Windows computers, but I don't if there is
a mac version.  Most *nix is supported.
