Dear Cobalt developers and cobalt experts,
I put a Adaptec scsi card 2940 in the 2nd pci slot of
my cube 2 (it is a gateway cube, which is identical to
a cobalt cube 2, with a 2nd PCI slot).
I'm wondering how I can find out if the card works
with my cube 2 ?.
Do I have to compile my own kernel ?
Can I use this card to connect a dat tape drive ?
The serial port output shows the following:
-----
Cobalt Microserver Diagnostics - 'We serve it, you
surf it'

BOOTLOADER ramcode: selected partition /dev/hda1
Decompressing done
Executing bootloader kernel...
Decompressing -\ done.

Which brings me two my second problem.
After decompressing -\ done,
the cube boots further without problems, but the
serial console is dead.
I can't log in (only by telnet).
Does anyone know what is wrong. I thought you can use
the serial port to log in ?
I appreciate any thoughts or help
