I did about a month ago.. and nothing's gone wrong so far.
Just on the topic of installing mailman, all went fine as per
the supplied instructions.. apart from one small difference
in the README.sendmail file to do with smrsh. the directory
where you have to do the ln -s is not /etc/smsrh but something
like /var/adm/cobalt/smrsh or so.
locate smsrh will show you the exact directory.
i got the python 1.52 rpm from rpmfind.net - redhat 6.2
