Sorry to disagree with some previous posts, but FP2002 ext are
compatible with previous versions of FP.  However FP2002 did make some
major sweeping changes that make them very difficult to implement.  They
have also decreased the number of supported platforms significantly.

FP2002 extensions will compile and install on a Raq 3 or 4, but doing so
without breaking other things is not going to be easy.  Once I finish my
current project (around the end of the week) I've been assigned the task
of "getting them working", and I'm confident I'll be able to succeed on
my Raq4.

That does not mean that what I do will be distributable, but I will
document the procedure for others to review.  I have already discovered
that it will definitely break FTP on the site, due to changes in the
user permissions needed for the new extensions.
