Hi Jeff,

I haven't used neomail myself, so I can't speak for it.

I suggest squirrelmail. It does require PHP4 to be installed, but it
authenticates users by their log in to the mail server. Therefore users
only need to have a valid email box, and the server hosting the website
doesn't have to be the same as the server hosting the email.

It doesn't require a database or anything, it uses flat files to store
user's preferences. That way they can have .sig files, and they can use
a special reply to address. They also get to have email address books
and they can receive html encoded email, if you choose to allow it.

It's actually a pretty good program, and I've been using it for some of
my clients for about 6 months now. It has good LDAP support and it is
VERY cross browser compatible (although it does use frames).

Check it out at www.squirrelmail.org, it may suit your needs.
