I am not sure about such an answer, but what I'm sure about is that you can
access those two databases with any ODBC supporting them WITHOUT FrontPage -
FP extensions mostly are there to be able to publish a site which was
developed with FP - Therefore, forms developed under FP requires the FP
extensions, otherwise they won't work, etc....

Arn't frontpage extentions designed to use Access or MS-SQL database
sources?

If so, thats why it no go on Linux.
