I also have a Raq 2, that appears to be based on RH 5.2. I don't know how you could make the server's any more like RedHat. They have a lot of utilities removed, primarily the ones aimed at graphical stuff, but they're easy to install. > How come there is no Midnight Commander? Not really a development tool, > but a handy one that would be nice to have pre-installed. > If you're on a Raq3 or 4, use this RPM to get MC ftp://ftp.rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/6.2/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/mc-4.5.42- 10.i386.rpm If you're on a Raq 2, you need to compile from the srpm. Here's a link: ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/6.2/en/os/i386/SRPMS/mc-4.5.42-10. src.rpm You'll probably need: ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/updates/6.2/en/os/SRPMS/gpm-1.19.3 -0.6.x.src.rpm as well. You can also get the tarball here http://www.gnome.org/projects/mc/mc-4.5.55.tar.gz Matthew Nuzum 5`//337-31337 followers.net
