26 . How do I get '.' (ie ".htaccess") files to show during an FTP session?
Easy, Login to your Raq via SSH/Telnet:

   su
  <ENTER YOUR ROOT PASSWORD WHEN PROMPTED>
   cp /etc/proftpd.conf /etc/proftpd.conf.bak     # backup the original one
   pico -w /etc/proftpd.conf
Now locate the <Global> </Global> TAGS
If they dont already exist, Insert them towards the end of the file
Assuming no tags were found, if they were, dont add them again, just insert
the LsDefaultOptions "-a" line!

   <Global>
   LsDefaultOptions "-a"
   </Global>
Then save the file, and exit SSH/Telnet
No restart of anything is required!
The next time anyone FTP's in, all the '.' (hidden) files will be shown ie
".htaccess"

You may also want to make identicle alterations to the
"/etc/proftpd.conf.master" file, if you want these changes to be permanent
and not overwritten in the future.
