in our experience, you should do a "touch <username>" shortly after
removing the mailspool, also you should correct "chgrp" the file, there
has been trouble when the file was automagically created and then was a
group-owned file of mail, not the local site.
but that's just out of the top of my head, no guarantee - but try it :-)
